SKNMC GH mobilizes facilities for contingencies to fight COVID-19

Pune: Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College General Hospital located at Narhe, in Pune is renowned for excellence in medical care as well as excellence in medical education. The Hospital is well known amongst the people for the charitable care provided to them. From inception in the year 2006, the medical treatment is provided totally free of cost and it continues to give the same to the poor and needy, charging a highly subsidized cost to others since the year 2017. The hospital provides all facilities in addition to meals to the in-patient free of cost.

This is a boon especially for the poor and needy who cannot afford proper health care. All departments have updated infrastructure to give better care to the sick and needy. A dedicated team of renowned doctors and supporting staff work round the clock to give the best possible medical care at all times.

This statement has been issued to the media, by Principal of SKNMC GH Dr. Shalini Sardesai. In the present scenario, to fight the coronavirus, the hospital has provided masks, sanitizing facilities to all concerned in addition to mobilizing available and necessary healthcare equipment, isolation wards to treat the patients who may be referred by the Government hospital to meet future contingencies. The entire medical team is also fully geared up for any eventuality that may arise.

Dr. Shalini has also clarified the salary issue of staff

In the press release, Dr. Shalini has explained more about the salary issue of SKNMC staff. She explained that due to unfortunate situations caused undue delay in receiving funds of Rs. 19 Crore from the Social Welfare Department and delay in payment of the fee by students further adding to the burden, has caused a corresponding delay in remittance of salaries.

Management has taken prompt steps and is doing the needful to release the pending salaries as soon as possible.
